Purpose

Lenovo wanted to increase its email marketing list while also getting people excited about Lenovo’s new line of YOGA, THINKPAD and YOGA TAB products.

Plan

For one year, Lenovo would drive two branded cars across the country spreading the word about Lenovo’s latest laptops and inviting people to go to their website to enter for a chance to win a Lenovo laptop and other great prizes. Each month for a year, two people would be selected as the prize winners.

Solution

Contest Factory designed, implemented, and launched a yearlong Sweepstakes that was hosted on Lenovo’s main website via an iFrame. Users who entered the Sweepstakes only had to register once for the Sweepstakes to receive their first entry, and users who came back once per day could log in with their email address and automatically receive an additional entry into the Sweepstakes without having to register again. Once users had registered or logged in again, they could share the Sweepstakes site to their friends and family on social media each day for bonus Sweepstakes entries as well.

Result

The Sweepstakes was a success for Lenovo. Lenovo increased its list of email leads and brought new awareness to its brand through its Lenovo cars travelling nationwide.
